The dedication weekend for the Kade-Duesenberg German House and Cultural Center was an exciting time on campus. On Friday night, a private dinner was hosted at the house which included representatives of the Kade Foundation and the Duesenberg families. After dinner, guests moved to the foyer where they were able to enjoy a brief Bach recital. As you might imagine, everyone was fascinated by the Luther and Bach windows in the foyer. Anyone with a camera wanted a picture taken next to them. Another donor couple even wanted information about who designed the windows and how you could be contacted. So, don't be surprised if you get more calls.
Then, on Saturday, the entire building was open for the dedication. Hundreds of guests attended, including the German ambassador and other guests from Germany. I wish you could have been here. You would have been so pleased to hear all of the superlative comments about the Luther and Bach windows. They are truly magnificent.
Thank you for two beautiful windows and all of ihe work that went into the process. Our committee really enjoyed working with you. And, speaking as one who knew nothing about the stained glass process before this began, I want to say that I now know who to refer people to if they are interested in stained glass. Thanks again for all of your work.
Sincerely,
